Betsy Nota-Kirby is responsible for leading a team of health management consultants to design and execute a nationally integrated, comprehensive well-being strategy for middle market clients. She creates and evaluates well-being solutions as well as evaluation of worksite health clinics. Betsy manages MMA’s national Vendor Innovation Council team and co-leads development of population health program evaluations and designs cohort analysis. Betsy joined MMA in 2018 and is based in Fort Lauderdale Florida. Betsy has been in the medical management and insurance industry for over 30 years. She was previously the Director of Medical Management Operations for Centene Inc. She also previously ran her own health care consulting company and held advanced roles with Humana, Aetna, and the University of Michigan Health System. Betsy is an accomplished population health consultant leading strategy, product development, design, implementation and operations of health and wellness products including clinical vendor assessment and worksite clinic consulting. Betsy holds a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Eastern Michigan University as well as a master’s degree in kinesiology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She is an ACSM® certified exercise specialist as well as a Wellcoaches® certified health and wellness coach. Betsy is a former member of the American Worksite Health Promotion (AWHP), the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), and the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR).
In her current role, Emily oversees Benefits for Wayfair. She and her team focus on creating an engaging experience for their unique employee population. Emily received her BA in Economics from Boston College. She started her professional career in banking and finance and after 7 years, she made a career change to HR. She began in HR working for growth- and expansion-stage biotech and pharmaceutical companies in Compensation, Benefits, and HRIS. She has also worked in global Benefits roles for a consulting firm and now tech/retail.
Haley Eckels is the Director of Content at Artemis Health, where she oversees industry research, thought leadership, and content outreach efforts for both self-insured employers and benefits advisors. She’s worked closely with Fortune 500 companies to produce case studies detailing their efforts to improve employee health, well-being, and engagement. She has worked in the employee benefits industry for four years, and has found there’s something new to learn every single day.
Kelly is a Principal in Mercer’s Health business and a member of the Data, Technology, and Analytics (DTA) team. Kelly employs data to derive insights and surface stories, providing employers with actionable recommendations to accomplish specific strategies. In recent years, her focus has included persona development for use in program design, targeted communications, and measuring outcomes. Kelly has provided analytics to more than a dozen Fortune 100 employers and has consulted to countless other organizations across a variety of industries. While her responsibilities for Mercer are national, Kelly is based in Indianapolis and brings more than 20 years of consulting experience to her role.
